The enhanced PV efficiency is ascribed to the outstanding thermal insulation properties of fly ash tiles and their capacity to control panel temperature.

The investigation was carried out observing the effect of tilt angle (from 0 o to 85 o) at constant irradiation intensity 750 W/m 2 and the effect of variable irradiation intensities (200 – 1000 W/m 2) on the PV performance and module electrical parameters.

Results show that the developed PV floor can achieve satisfactory performance in solar energy conversion efficiency, anti-slip, heat-resistance, durability and compressive strength, demonstrating that such PV floor tiles can be used as a replacement for the pavements and cycling tracks in the Green Deck.
